Digital Reads Blog Tours presents author Sian B Claven with her new book Asylum II
The cover sure was scary… I love horror
Shhhh….. I am still reading this horrifying tale… The beginning seems to have gripped me… I am in my kindle… Will be released only after I complete the book.
I did read the tale, it was gruesome. Bradley Walker killed a cop in cold blood and pleaded insanity. The judge ordered him placed in a mental asylum with the cops having the choice of the place where he would be put. Walker was sent to one in the middle of nowhere, and his torture started.
This was my second book by author Sian B Claven, and the first half of the book shocked me. There was both psychological and physical torture including rape. Sian’s writing made me worry if what I was reading was real or imaginary. There were moments when I thought that Walker was hallucinating. Every day brought a fresh set of nightmares. Starvation thirst, being drugged and raped, being experimented on, all the perversions happened to Walker.
I was on tender hooks while reading this story, I didn’t know what to believe. A cloud enveloped my brain, and I could read with eyes which widened at every sentence. I was left aghast. The second half of the book had repetitive scenes, and the ending was quite different and unexpected.
A prison is never a nice place, and a prison managed by a sadistic doc and his psychopathic staff would just be an asylum from hell. Read the book at your own risk.
I downloaded the digital version of the book from Kindle Unlimited, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.
All my reviews can be read here
Hailing from Johannesburg South Africa, Sian B. Claven has enjoyed stories for all her life, whether she was reading them or making them. She has written for as long as she can remember, but Ensnared is the first book she decided to publish. Moving towards writing more for the horror / paranormal thriller genre, Sian has subsequently published the first two books in The Butcher Books series, Tatum and Kallista. When Sian isn’t thinking of ways to terrify people, she enjoys writing science fiction stories, poetry and rather long and gushy birthday wishes. When she isn’t working on her writing you can find her knitting, scrapbooking, reading, or playing Xbox. Sian previously reviewed for The Blithering Bibliomaniacs and still reviews in her private capacity. She clearly doesn’t know what the words rest and relaxation mean, at least not in the traditional sense.

For cop killer Bradley Walker, pleading insane was the easiest get out of jail free card he ever played. Left in the hands of the cops to decide where he is sent, he is dropped off at an Asylum in the middle of nowhere. All is not as it seems and Bradley is left questioning his sanity when the orderlies, nurses and doctors all around him appear more insane than the patients.

Thank you so much.. It was horror 🙈
Well, 3 1/2 Shalini Stars isn’t bad. That cover is certainly enough to give me nightmares!😱
It was scary… He was made to do so many perverted stuff
being tenterhooks is not a comfortable position for me, I fear I’m too wimpy for this one 😉
Me too.. I was scared at some points
Have added to my TBR list. I do like myself a good gruesome horror 😁
It had a different psychological horror
The cover is itself very scary. Thank you for the amazing review, Shalini! Best wishes for a sunny, funny weekend! Michael

Oh my, I don’t think I can read it. it sounds so dark and scary and I already hate that doc.
The prisoner was a killer… But there was a twist at the end which made me doubt everything
I like twists that prove judgement wrong.
I need to read this one. I want to be scared. Haha
Torture nor horror..
I know- I do better reading these things than watching them. If this was a movie, I’d be out!
Me too… Movie makes it too real
