Many thanks to Emma and Damp Pebbles Blog Tours for my spot on this Blog Tour.
A murder investigation and a PI Jordan Jenner at the helm.
Xandar, a famous artist, was worried from a gang’s threat, the Dirty Dollys. He hired Jordan to investigate. In the art show, Xandar was found dead. Now Jordan had to find the killer.
My first book by author J. S. Strange, the story had twists and turns with the killer being one step ahead. Jordan was a fun PI, sweet in his ways, but extremely instinctive. I liked how he knew when someone was following him. He showed signs of a cop, though I would have liked if he were tougher, since he was investigating murders.
Dark was the path the art world was set in. Fast paced with varied characters, I kept looking at everyone with suspicion. I liked how Jordan assisted the cops, the team felt cohesive and trustworthy. Having not read book 1, I didn’t have a problem in following book 2.
The atmosphere in the entire book was more old-fashioned, there was an authenticity in the plot which had more of Agatha Christie-ish vibe going on with clues and suspects and careful investigation. I found this book to be an interesting investigative series. Though called a cozy, there was nothing cozy about it, no recipe, no cakes and pastries, though there was a cute cat.
A fun whodunit, I would say
I received a free ARC from Emma and the author, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

Wales at its best.
