MY REVIEW
Omg… This was so much fun.
Three women (were they friends?), one book club to celebrate the launch of an author’s second book (wasn’t that familiar?), a discussion on how to kill the husband (hehehe 😂), and one dead body, a murder (didn’t I say online launches were much safer?). A court case where the prosecutor wanted to nail the culprit. But who was it?
My second book by author Gina LaManna, I loved the whole format of it. Different POVs where one chapter had the prosecutor asking the questions and the next had the backstory of that woman. I loved going back in time to understand how the story progressed since the past 8 months.
Each woman drew my empathy; I loved the way the author made them gray characters. Shadows played over them when life was tough. I could understand the acts they did to survive. My emotions were evoked.
The story had a gossipy feel to it, which was so needed on a lazy Saturday. In lieu of the television, the book provided me the right amount of entertainment.
A great finale to the read, and I was happy.

BOOK BLURB
Three beautiful women. Two wedding bands. One dead husband.
When Anne Wilkes, Eliza Tate, and Penny Sands arrive at book club bearing bottles of wine, none of them are plotting to kill. But when the subject of a philandering husband arises, revenge is in the air. By the end of the night, someone is dead.
Two women with rings on their fingers and one with stars in her eyes. All of them are hiding something. All of them are lying.
What really happened that night? Only the guilty knows. Did one woman take everything too far, or is the truth really more twisted than fiction?

Gina LaManna books are always fun. She has a series called Magic and Mixology that I devoured a few years ago. Awesome review!
Ah has she written more books? I liked the earlier one and this book
It was just right for the weekend
Strange title. Is it similar to big little lies 🤔
Hmmm no… And yes… Three women interconnected and a murder and court proceeding… So the court case led to past. But it was a light read, gossipy kinds
I just read this too. I thought it was fun, but not great. I did like the court transcripts interspersed with the narrative though…good way to tell a story
Ah… I agree transcripts were fun. I liked the women. I needed something to pull my mind away. This helped
I always have something light to distract me
Yay – an excellent way to start the weekend!
I agree, you would love it too
This sounds really good Shalini. Wonderful review, I am adding this to my blog recommendations list.
I think you would enjoy this, probably not as much as I did. I am assuming 4 stars
Excellent review Shalini. I am looking forward to reading this. ❤📚
I hope you like it. But for you I don’t predict a 5 star from you but a 3.8 or so
Shalini ji you have a nice review without even hinting about the ending… Wow
Mr. Utkarsh Sharma ji, how are you? What are you doing on my end of the blogosphere? How has life been treating you?

Welcome to adult life and this will continue until you retire… with added responsibilities
That’s what they call life
Ah well. I don’t agree and don’t disagree too
Definitions might vary
So according to you… Life is what you make of it?
Life is life, has no meaning. What you do in the moments of it is up to you. And then you would add an interpretation of boring or sad or good or bad or fantastic etc.
This was philosophical. But just live it. Jab tak hai. Breathe in breathe out, find happiness when you can.
Oh my my…
It feels good to see the philosopher inside you come out after sooo long…
As you say doc I will breathe in and breathe out.. 😂
Hahaha as long as you are present each moment, you are doing it. It is only when we just do things absentmindedly that probably we lose time. But I am not sure

You have convinced me that online launches are safer….I love multiple POVs ( not too many, though, 4-5max), it’s like a puzzle to piece together and they are so relaxing….
agreed especially if it feels like a gossip I am exclusively privy to.
