MY REVIEW
Sometimes when life gets me down, I like to mix and match. And thanks to Amazon suggestion, I downloaded this book. And it was simply uplifting, making me smile and helping me to forget my realities.
3 women. 3 ages. 3 life circumstances. 3 cups of tea. To laughter and good friends. Even in moments of tragedy and loss and betrayal and insults.
My first book by Melissa Crosby, I loved the feeling of friendship and camaraderie that bound the three women so tightly to each other. Support and love flowed between them. Most importantly – acceptance. They were each other’s safe places.
Sarah had lost Adam and seemed to be in depression. Louise found herself facing her husband’s unknown daughter. Kate had married on a vacation and had to deal with a changed husband holding archaic ideas about women.
The author gave such distinctive characteristics to each that it was easy to connect with them. The short chapters definitely helped as even in the course of a cup of tea I had finished 35% of the book. It was that easy to read.
The entire book showed me how they managed the difficult turns of life and found their way back. Friendship was the core along with peals of laughter. There were tears and moments of sadness, but finding each other close was all they needed.
A beautiful book that enveloped me in warmth as I turned the pages to reach the end. I need more of such books.

Now married to the handsome American who had swept her off her feet, and over 8000 miles away from home, Kate soon realizes that her mother was right: vacations end and people change.
Louise Delaney couldn’t ask for anything more. At fifty-nine, she had enjoyed almost four decades of blissful marriage to Warren—may his soul rest in peace. But Louise’s seemingly perfect world is upended when she gets a visit from a sixteen-year-old who says she is Warren’s daughter.

Serendipity is a marvelous thing. This landed in your lap at just the right time.
Their problems are so different from each other, but they were friends. I like that.
