A book with beautiful illustrations and prose which were rhythmic and lyrical, so well suited for children of age 3+
Kian was the cockatoo in a zoo who wanted to go back home to his mum and dad in Timbuktu. He planned well and one day, he escaped. But he didn’t know the way back home. He traveled to great many places from Antarctica to China, from Australia to London, with a detour to Egypt. Then he remembered something his mum had said…
My second book by the author William AE Ford, I adored this book. The illustrations by Ramile Imac were colorful and eye-catching. I loved the way the different sights of a country were drawn in the picture. The colors used captured the spirit of the adventure this cockatoo was on. They gave such a warm vibe to the book.
The prose written as 8 to 10 line poems was rhythmic, I found myself singing along with it, using my own tunes. This is one book which I know my niece will love. A beautiful book from beginning to end, well worth the price to buy a physical copy.
The book simply vibrated with an innocence which would capture the imagination of the kids and the child in you. I know it did mine!!
I downloaded the digital version of the book from Kindle Unlimited, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.
