Many thanks to Jill and Books ‘n’ All Promotions for my spot on this Blog Tour.
What a premise… 2 sisters on a feet crossing. Bothwere hit by an unknown assailant on their heads by a hammer. Kelly was thrown overboard, and Faith left for dead. She had no memory when she got up. Private investigator Tyrone was asked to investigate.
My first book by author Gretta Mulrooney, a smooth slow burner of a suspense where each reveal of the investigation brought its own subplot. The writing had depth and built up the suspense with a surety. Suspects were many who wanted the sisters dead, the author’s broad strokes showed the deeper links to them. They were quite complex, and I was left guessing.
Tyrone was a cool dude, he moved sure-footedly with great confidence. The mystery was quite twisted to keep me hooked to it. My first book, though eighth in the series, I could read it easily due to Tyrone. He made the story come alive. And I wanted nothing more than to get to the final reveal.
Quite a captivating read.
I received a free ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.
