MY REVIEW
I loved the intrigue in the story as one night, on a midnight walk, a sister disappeared, and it was left to the other to try to find her. My first book, though would not be the last, by author Courtney Evan Tate kept me up, reading late at night, just to know the reason behind the disappearance.
There were a few twists, one really made me gasp… I had a – Noooo… I can’t believe it – moment, then the book moved swiftly on the investigation and truth reveals. The love between both the sisters was genuine, the bond from childhood made was apparent. The author sure made me feel anger and a need for revenge just like the main character did. I could understand her pain and jealousy.
Smooth writing and swift pace, though didn’t really like the cop investigating the case, he was too sloppy, if you ask me. A few moments where the story seemed to lose its tautness and reasons were seen, but nothing dampened by curiosity, really.
Overall, the characterization was full-on, where each added a layer to the story. I enjoyed getting to know their raison d’être. Karma sure got them all. Quite entertaining.

Have you read her earlier books, Jo? I wanted to know if I should get them.
Thank you so much
No, but I have one of her books on my shelf that I’ve recommended my library purchase, I’ll Be Watching You.
Ah maybe I would get it once you review it.
There is something rewarding about characters getting what they deserve!
