MY REVIEW
An extremely cute book which gave a warm fun feeling even when the main character Ali was suspected of murder.
My first book by author Fiona Grace, the writing was cheerful and had the power to keep me hooked in Ali’s life. From a bad boss to an irate customer to opening up her own pastry shop, Ali was sweet (pun intended). I liked how the author made her go through hardships while starting her own business, including dealing with a pelican thief.
Being a cozy mystery, I knew it would end well, the book was packed with good scenes which perked me up and made me curious about the killer. Ah yes, a dead body did wash up after being pushed off the pier.
The story was well balanced with the foul play occurring in the mid half of the book. The croissants seemed to be delish. Come on, everyone wanted it!!
Overall, a light warm read that appealed to all my senses.

I downloaded the digital version of the book from an online retail store, and this is my journey down its pages, straight from the heart. STRICTLY HONEST and UNBIASED.

This looks worth wrecking my diet for 😉
This sounds like a good start to a new series. I have to wonder. Pelican thief? Is someone stealing pelicans or is the pelican a thief? Both make for interesting thoughts.
