An absolutely fun, brilliant book with humor and adventure, just perfect for kids of 5 to 8 years and adults like me who enjoy the innocence that is enclosed within the words.
Jasper was the Amazon parrot with a baby brother Willie, the book followed their lives from the time they hatched until they learned to fly. Perils and romps went hand in hand as they learned how to negotiate through their life journey. This was book 1.
My first book by author Sharon C. Williams, I was quickly pulled into the story which so lovingly brought Jasper and his brother into my life. There was love in the family, with the mother guiding them through various facets of their lives.
The dialogues and prose had me smiling as both brothers tried to find their way. Falling down on their bums while learning to fly was quite humorous. The author knew how to interject the prose with subtle lessons along with loads of humor. The world widened for these kiddos when they explored the skies.
New friends like the spider monkey Charlie and sloth George kept the prose interesting. The writing was quite superfluous. This was one book I would love to read out to my niece. The cover too, I was sure, would attract all kids.
Absolutely loved the book.
I downloaded the digital version of the book from Kindle Unlimited, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

Jasper is no ordinary parrot. He lives in the rainforest, which secrets he’s eager to explore. Jasper loves his home and his family, and he’s also in charge of his younger brother Willie – a responsibility Jasper takes very seriously.
When he meets Charlie – a spider monkey with a penchant for food and a laid back attitude – he realizes he’s in for an adventure he never thought possible. Even if this means getting into danger and worrying his mother to no end.
Exploring the boundaries of the forest, Jasper understands that there is more to the world around him. Who are the strange new creatures that have come there? With Willie and Charlie by his side, he will soon find out.

Wish I had a grandchild to buy the book for.
It is fun to read it otherwise too… No idea if my niece would like
The characters sound like lots of fun. I think children and those reading to them will really enjoy this one!
I had so much fun… I listened to the sample of audiobook, it was so good Linda
I agree I enjoyed it quite a bit
Thank you Shalini, I can’t say it enough.
You are most welcome Sharon. I remembered your book so I kinda enacted the first to my niece and she loved it. She wants my sister to tell her more about Jasper when they went back home.
I have a bio sheet I wrote up about him that I hand out at events. Do you think that is something she would like to hear?
I have no idea. You could email it to me
