MY REVIEW
One heck of a book where the story is a complete thriller filled with the dual modes of investigation and reporting as the main characters were apt for it.
JACK and ANNA an ex married couple found themselves on the opposite sides of the murder until the truth became a matter of survival for both.
Author Alice Feeney wrote a long book filled with delicious paragraphs that kept me guessing about the killer and the motives.
The book took some wicked turns and time jumps into the past giving me the darkness of human minds, no matter that they were just school girls. I understood the motives so damn well and found myself empathizing with the killer. Until…
I thought I had nearly succeeded in reading between the lines until the cunning brain changed my POV and narrowed my sight on the main suspect. A sigh escaped me knowing the mind that had released the strings of the friendship band was ultimately revealed. Not that I could ever begin to suspect that person.
The epilogue brought out the feeling of – all’s well that ends well. But you see, I was mistaken. The book now took to a different light and finally revealed the truth from the bowels of the deep earth where it all started.
Ms. Feeney transformed me back into her fan, she had lost me in the middle two books. His and hers were just differently stated versions when in reality, the truth was buried deep in between the two.
Read it!! Listen to the audiobook. I did. Well worth the time spent.

BOOK BLURB
There are two sides to every story: yours and mine, ours and theirs, His & Hers. Which means someone is always lying.
When a woman is murdered in Blackdown, a quintessentially British village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Detective Jack Harper is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation. Someone isn’t telling the truth, and some secrets are worth killing to keep.

I downloaded the digital version of the book from an online retail, and this is my journey down its pages, straight from the heart. STRICTLY HONEST and UNBIASED.

Wonderful review Shalini. I have yet to read this author, although she is on my highly desirable list, but I am never approved for her books. Think I will need to add her to my library list. ❤📚
I loved this story, great review Shalini. Yes, the twists kept me guessing to the end.
