My review
One of the best books that I have read in recent times. The story goes thus, Adam finds something odd about his teacher, Mrs Murphy, and sets about investigating and getting to the bottom of the truth along with his best friend Jennifer.
This book was everything what a children’s book ought to be. I felt a thrill of adventure when I started reading this book. The first chapter made me feel the same glee what a child would feel at Christmas. The first page itself told me one simple fact – this book would be a winner. And author Robbie Yates is a genius.
And I was right! I simply loved Adam, he was a complete character. He was real, he was intelligent with a keen sense of observation. He had a charming innocence about him that I couldn’t help but become his fan. His relationship with his parents was a two-way street, they listened when he spoke. I loved that. His friendship with Jennifer just stole my heart and I am not ashamed to say, I was jealous. I wanted Adam to be my best friend.
The author Robbie Yates has etched his characters so beautifully that there were moments in the book where I thought – Oi, what if that really happened!! Robbie has captured the essence of a querying young mind beautifully. Can I say it again – Robbie Yates is a genius!!
This is one book I am craving to own, and the day the physical copy comes to my country, I am buying it. This book would hold a separate mantle on my shelf. There are some books like that which just make me happy. This is one of them.
P. S. I would probably share it with my niece or probably not!!
My rating : 5 fabulous stars

Book blurb
The humming noise got louder. Adam willed himself to focus. He had to finish his math test.
Suddenly, the noise became unbearable. He glanced up.
Mrs Murphy was inches away, leaning over another kid’s desk. Was the noise coming from her?
***
Every child remembers a teacher who was a little bizarre, prickly or ill-tempered. Some teachers, though, are very odd indeed, and warrant some closer attention…
This quirky chapter book will thrill kids who are adventurous, brave, and a little bit cheeky!
