Many thanks to Tracy Fenton and Compulsive Readers for my spot on this Blog Tour.
Summer hated Christmas is the plain, undiluted truth. She abhorred it with all her heart. Her past was too entrenched in her, gripping her in the grinchy ways, that try as she might, she would always hate Christmas. Noel opened his forever festive shop, right next to hers and sold everything connected to—you guessed it—CHRISTMAS. Oh boy!! Sparks flew. The first chapter had Summer kicking the Christmas Tree. Oh no!! What was Noel to do? He had to fall in love and teach her to love Christmas once again!!
My very first book by Rachel Dove made my heart fly. There was magic in her words. The scenes opened in front of my eyes as if I could see every rich nuance of it, from the expressions on their faces to their emotions. I knew I was reading one talented author’s book.
The characters, oh what can I say about them?!! They are unique. C’mon, who hates Christmas?! They were real, their emotions strengthened the story in a way that I didn’t have words. This was not just a love story, there were other relationships, some loving and some which were broken. There were turns in the book where the story dipped. My breath literally hitched at a few places.
This was Summer’s story and of the people surrounding her. My heart has been frozen solid. I hate love. But this book pierced the hard encasing, broke through the cold walls, and held me in its loving grasp. Not many books can do that. There was joy in the writing. Rachel Dove knew how to spin gold from straw. Noel was simply awesome. He never gave up. I could feel those tiny hearts fluttering and dancing when he was around. Was this love?
I received a free ARC from Tracy and the author, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

I am a wife, mother of two boys, degree student, avid reader and writer of words. I sometimes sleep, always have eye bags and dream of retiring to a big white house in Cornwall, with 2 shaggy dogs, drinking wine on my seafront balcony whilst creating works of romantic fiction. All done with immaculate make up and floaty dresses.
In the meantime I nearly always remember to brush my hair, seldom have time to look in a mirror and write many, many to-do lists.
Summer Hastings hates Christmas. She loves sunshine, the beach and running her travel agency, sending people off to their dream destinations – even if she doesn’t get to see the world for herself. For Summer, Christmas is nothing but a reminder of all the things that have gone horribly wrong in her life, so when handsome Noel Pritchett moves his pop-up Christmas shop in the store next to hers, Summer is livid.
Noel loves Christmas…and he also has a sneaking suspicion that he might be falling in love with Summer, if only he could break through the armour she has surrounded herself with. Just why does Summer hate Christmas so much? And can Noel be the one to prove to her that life can be sweet all year round?
