The year 2059, earth had stopped rotating so one half saw the burning sun and the other, frozen night. Only a twilit region could survive.
Britain was the only safe country which had survived, but it had closed its borders to all. People were trying to survive a harsh world in poverty making use of few resources. One such person was Ellen Hopper who received a message from her professor to meet with him. Therein lay the adventure when Ellen traveled to places to know the biggest secret.
My first book by Andrew Hunter Murray, kept me hopping in eagerness to know the big secret of this dystopian world. Down the pages I got to know the consequences of a still Earth and life of people. I did not know the veracity of the consequences as I didn’t want to analyze the prose. I just went on a quest with Ellen to get to the big secret.
The thriller aspect was fun. Ellen was a great protagonist. She was clever and determined, though she did pay the price for it. The writing was great in the thriller bits, the suspense made me read fast. I liked when she found a partner or two to help her.
Overall, it was a fun read which kept me hooked to this unknown world.
I received a free ARC from NetGalley and publisher, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

A WORLD HALF IN DARKNESS. A SECRET SHE MUST BRING TO LIGHT.
2059. The world has stopped turning.
One half suffers an endless frozen night; the other, nothing but burning sun.
Only in a slim twilit region can life survive.
In an isolationist Britain, Ellen Hopper receives a letter from a dying man.
It contains a powerful and dangerous secret.
One that those in power will kill to conceal…

I saw this book the other day, and it caught my eye. Thank you for reviewing it. Sounds really intriguing.
It was quite a different read… I like adventure dystopia in between other thrillers
this concept and the world sounds interesting. Great review!
Thank you, my darling. How are you and your kiddo
We are good. I hardly had time today because of change in her schedule. She up early (9.30 is early, in my defense I’m used to late nights) and don’t ask me how mornings are.
She was up and playing and I was cooking. she found an allopathy medicine in my purse (it was for her only because of that teeth eruption pain my husband bought but we decided not to give it to her until require) somehow opened and spilled small tablets on floor and started eating it! I saw just in time.
Yesterday in D’mart where kids were playing in one section. She loved kids and was happy seeing so many like her. One kid was innocently playing. she went to him and was smiling at him and went to call him by touching on face you how kids do but she did it with such force poor kid fell and was thinking what just happened.
I have feeling I’m going to get many calls from her school.
Omg omg…. Were you like this? She has to be observed all the time…. Omg omg 😂😂 how will you get her to do her homework? 😂😂 Yessss…. Lots of calls
I’m sure I wasn’t like this. My husband or dad were definitely mischievous. I don’t have clue. She won’t even see if you keep calling her name but when she hear my scolding voice and I’m coming to scold her she would run away from the place of her mischief. 😂
She likes to open my book case and pull out books from the shelves. when she sees I’m coming, she’ll throw book in her hand and run away so fast and will come back again when I’m busy on laptop and would peep time to time to see if I’m coming.
She tore 3 pages from reading diary, there’s big two lines of broken screen on my phone, one vase, one mug… and she is just 15 months old. 😅
You are going to run behind her
I cannot bring myself to read this genre – you are much braver than I am
Oh hush. This was fun… Not the killer thrillers you have got your teeth into… Nowadays. Smut is gone only blood and gore on your blog
LOL – there will ALWAYS be classy smut on my Kindle 😉
Seems interesting
Quite a fun concept. Thank you ❤️
Great review, Shalini! Did you think it was more a thriller or a sci-fi book?
Neither… It was just a fact which occurred earth stopped and countries ceased to exist so a dystopian world… Then the main character had to find a secret which was too huge and had repercussions but the government kept attacking her. So I would say dystopian thriller. I use the world thriller lightly
This does sound quite exciting! I think that the setting sounds really intriguing and terrifying at the same time. Lovely review!
Thank you so much ❤️ it was a different read
