Many thanks to publisher Harlequin Books for my spot on this Blog Tour.
Wow!! The devil was this book that quickly pulled me over to its side. And so crafty was the mastermind behind the story, Ms. Amber Garza, that I could just sit back and salute this author in absolute awe.
Kelly Medina, a suburban housewife came to know there was another Kelly Medina in town with a 7 month old baby. And she befriended her. But all was not as it seemed. Who were hiding the secrets? ALL OF THEM!!
Lies and truths were so well camouflaged that I went into the book with one conviction and came out with another. And the credit for every single line and every spike of pulse I got from reading those lines went to the author. Knowing the two Kellys warmed my heart as I knew that I would be getting a massive twist from one of them.
What I thought to be a routine, well-known trope turned out to be a rocking ride with all guns blazing. A genius in misdirection, the author kept me looking in the opposite direction while pulling the carpet from under my feet.
Brilliantly written, seamless subplots which initially felt so broken, a trickster of a plot with heart thumping scenes was what made this book a rocking thriller

And I had been well played by the author from beginning to end. And did I feel like a fool? Nopes… Nada… As the book was sooooo good!!
I received a ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

It all begins on an ordinary fall morning, when Kelly Medina gets a call from her son’s pediatrician to confirm her upcoming “well-baby” appointment. It’s a cruel mistake; her son left for college a year ago, and Kelly’s never felt so alone. The receptionist quickly apologizes: there’s another mother in town named Kelly Medina, and she must have gotten their numbers switched.
For days, Kelly can’t stop thinking about the woman who shares her name. Lives in her same town. Has a son she can still hold, and her whole life ahead of her. She can’t help looking for her: at the grocery store, at the gym, on social media. When Kelly just happens to bump into the single mother outside that pediatrician’s office, it’s simple curiosity getting the better of her.
Their unlikely friendship brings Kelly a renewed sense of purpose—taking care of this young woman and her adorable baby boy. But that friendship quickly turns to obsession, and when one Kelly disappears, well, the other one may know why.
