MY REVIEW
A beautiful book which warmed the frozen cockles of my heart with the purity of its writing and goodness imbibed in its words. Author Emily Harvale was a magician who filled this book with cheer, laughter, tears, broken heart, healing, and True Love and Happiness.
I stick to thrillers as they wrench my heart with adrenaline, but something about this book grabbed my attention right from the start, and I knew soon it would call my name. And that happened at breakfast on a supposedly lazy Sunday.
A brilliant writer was Emily who could make me feel all the emotions that Molly felt. The tenderness of a crush turning to love, the harshness of life, the splintering of heart, the healing. Every nuance could be felt deep in me, more so today, as December is truly a month of love and dreams.
The love story went the way ‘friends to love but with other commitments’ trope usually went. The dogs added to the humorous situations in the prose. I loved how the main characters tried hard not to fall in love. But you know love, it could break the sternest of intention and so too could author Emily Harvale. She did get me to read this book just by the power of her words.
I loved how the book left me with joy and hope for a new beginning and of course, good health to all Just For Christmas.

Finding an abandoned dog beside the road isn’t the Christmas surprise Molly Ford is hoping for. But when the local vet can’t find a space for the bedraggled dog, Molly makes a rash decision.
The problem is she’s spending Christmas with her brother, Terry, and his girlfriend is allergic to dogs, so the bundle of wet fur, which Molly has named Miracle, might not be the only one needing a home this Christmas.
And Miracle causes chaos wherever he puts his paws. He pees on the Christmas tree, shreds the Christmas presents and eats the honeyed ham. That’s just the first night.
When Terry’s best friend, Chance offers Molly and Miracle a place to stay for Christmas, Molly is ecstatic. She doesn’t mind at all when he informs her there are strings attached. She’d rather like a festive fling with the gorgeous Chance.
Now Molly’s in for another surprise. Chance is about to pop the question, except it’s not to Molly. In fact, he needs her interior design skills to get the dilapidated cottage he’s bought, all clean and sparkly in time for his girlfriend’s impending arrival on New Year’s Eve.
But as Molly and Chance grow closer, enjoying the Christmas festivities together beneath a star-filled sky of a winter wonderland, they realise they have feelings for each other.
Could this be true love? Or is it just for Christmas?

Gorgeous review, but wish I had more time to read this and many of the their Christmas books that are put at the moment xx
I am reading quite a few cozy and short reads…
Cute cover
Agreed
I adore her sweet and amusing storytelling
Sounds sweet. So glad you are enjoying some lighter reads with everything that is happening around the world.
What a very lovely and hearttouching review! Shalini, it seems on lazy sunday’s you are reviewing with two not only one hearts beating. 😉 Thank you, and enjoy the rest of the weekend. Please stay save! Michael
I can definitely see why you’d have reached out for this one among all the psychological thrillers you’d read! 😉 Glad to see it turned out so heartwarming! 😀 Great review!
Hey… I have enough Christmas reads to get through. Don’t give me more!!! Lol. But of course because you gave it a 5, I’ll have to check it out.
You might give it a 4 cuppa coffee. I wanted cutesy book so I think I liked it more
I know how that works. Lol. I read one recently that most objectively wasn’t al that great but it just hit a spot for me so I’ll be generous with my rating 😄
If the book makes me happy, 5 stars. If it makes me angry 1 star. If it frustrates me as one is doing now as I don’t know what has happened in the first few pages, it might go into DNF. Being Dec, I am going to give it a second try
Being all full of good cheer 😉😄
I’ve really decided not to struggle through books I’m not enjoying. If it’s for a review tour then I’ll make the effort but otherwise…. dnf
Same here. I am DNFing or skim reading
