Many thanks to Victoria Joss and publisher Head of Zeus for my spot on this Blog Tour.
Ronnie Percy was back home trying to make amends, the same home she had left hers ago to be with her lover. Only one of her children was ready to forgive and forget. Pax too returned home to help at the stud farm. Complications convoluted in when her mother invited Luca to run the stud farm. Sparks flew.
Though second in the series, this book worked well as a standalone. Author Fiona Walker has written a fun story filled with charming and quirky characters who soon took up my time. The new employee too was hiding his past. Humor interspersed among the drama of the plot and strange happenings.
I found the story a bit slow and long, but that could be because I was used to short racy thrillers. The story had its own mystery when secrets were revealed. The writing was interesting, the author brought out the twists in the story at the right moment.
Overall, the book was interesting and fun.
I received a free ARC from NetGalley and publisher, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

They say you should never go back, but glamorous Ronnie Percy did just that, to the home she ran away from with her lover.
But not everyone is finding it easy to forgive and forget.
Daughter Pax, fighting for custody of her small son as her own marriage disintegrates, is furious to have to spend New Year’s Eve waiting for some stranger her mother has invited to help run the family stud farm.
Even more annoyed is the staunchly loyal stud head groom, Lester. Does Ronnie think he’s lost his touch with the horses? And anyway, who is this so-called Horsemaker, Luca O’Brien? Why does he seem to be running away from something? And what is the true story of his relationship with grey stallion Beck, once destined for the Olympics, now broken and unrideable, screaming his anger from the Compton Magna stables.
Passionate, sexy, gripping, laced with her trademark wisdom and humour, this is bestselling Fiona Walker at her dazzling best.

Great review, Shalini! If the book is a little bit slow to read, its excellent for me. 😉 Best wishes, Michael

So dissapointed with Country lovers.
I have read all of Fiona Walkers books but this one was absolutely infuriating.
Not just the storyline but the continuous errors.
It read as if it was rushed.
Did anyone check this book or roof read it. Dreadful
