Happy Publication Day!!

This was the cutest of all my books read this month. I loved, loved, loved the book. The writing made me feel warm and gushy, it was smooth and delish like hot chocolate.

Tess was in a relationship with Blake which wasn’t working anymore. Daniel bumped into her life when she looked her worst with fish scales on her. And that began an interesting journey between the two. But Blake dropped a health bomb, and Tess had to postpone the breakup. She was in a dilemma. She liked Daniel and was intensely attracted, borderline in love with Daniel, but Blake was going through therapy, she had to be a friendly support.

My first book by author Angela Burton and I loved going on this journey with her. Her writing was superfluous and gave me all kinds of feels. The author sure did know how to put in bucket loads of emotions. Tess was brilliant in the role she was cast. She was everything I wanted, loyal and kind and so generous. Daniel played the sensitive love interest.

Blake was the puzzle who did certain weird stuff, and I loved to hate him. Understanding his desperate attempt to force love, I felt pity too in tiny amounts. The story rushed by, I didn’t even know how the time flew and I had reached the last few chapters that I really savored. I was transported into Tess’s world.

I really need more of Ms. Barton’s books. She made me feel happy and gave me two hours of bliss where the tensions of life could be forgotten. Just magical!!

I received a free ARC from the publisher, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

Three isn’t always a magic number …

There are three reasons Tess Fenton should be happy. One, her job at the Blue Olive deli is dull, but at least she gets to work with her best friend. Two, she lives in a cosy cottage in the pretty village of Halston. Three, she’s in love with her boyfriend, Blake.

Isn’t she?

Because, despite their history, Blake continues to be the puzzle piece in Tess’s life that doesn’t quite fit. And when she meets intriguing local artist Daniel Cavanagh, it soon becomes apparent that, for Tess, love isn’t as easy as one, two, three …

  1. This is actually the book I’ve had my eye on when invited for a blog tour but I passed up due to my dry eyes. Now your review. You totally convinced me!

      1. Yes, there was (is?) I got the invitation but I passed that up and now am regretting it lol
I got my own copy after reading your review though! That’s what your fab reviews do to me.

  2. Shalini, I’m not used to your using the word “cute” in your reviews! I think you will enjoy throwing a few books like this into your intense thriller lineup–especially with your Christmas reads behind you. Good review!
