MY REVIEW
Interesting and horrifying!!
The mystery behind the plot was interesting and it was extremely horrifying to know that an old threesome sex tape of Scarlett had been deliberately circulated to her husband, father, immediate and extended family, work colleagues, and clients. Basically to everyone on her contact list except her ante-natal group of friends, the mum group.
A debut thriller by author Caroline Corcoran, I read it with dread for Scarlett as she traversed the painful path of embarrassment and anger toward someone who was stepwise destroying her.
With virtually no support from her straight-laced husband, Ed, I hoped she would get a break soon. Her father on the other hand was very supportive, but he didn’t have much of a role. She did try to solve the mystery all on her own, and I hoped that she would succeed soon.
A mistake by the perp, and I too came to the same conclusion as her down the pages and waited for her to take that person down. Taking down the video after it became viral was perhaps quite impossible.
The story was gripping in its barebones, but my main grouse was Scarlett had too many introspective thoughts which became pages of narration where my attention got diverted.
Overall, it was still an interesting tale, and I was sure Ms. Corcoran’s next book would be brilliant.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, and this is my journey down its pages, straight from the heart. STRICTLY HONEST and UNBIASED.

Nice review 😊👍
Thank you so much ❤️
Well done, I find these extremely hard to write
Oh hush, you must be joking. You would have just pinched the heroine and ask her to woman up and not drink so much when she had a small child 😂😂
snort!
Thanks for the warning about the introspection, Shalini. I have this coming up. ❤📚
I may be the lone one to think so… But the book could have been better so I thought
Sandy, how do you decide your reading? I am a mood reader other than Tour books, rest are based on covrr. How do you decide since you knew this book is coming up on your list?
I have a spreadsheet Shalini that I enter all my ARCs on in order of publication date. That way I can see what needs to be read by what date. It usually works, but not always. 😉❤📚
Holy smokes!! you do? Amazing
It makes life a lot easier. I just have to learn to look at it before I hit the request button so that I don’t end up with a whole pile of reviews due on the same day/week. 🤦♀️
Whoops! Bad choice that caught up with her, especially in the age of social media. Not a book that appeals to me, but your review is good.
A threesome that too… I was sure she wouldn’t be able to get out of the whole vicious cycle. But it ended with happiness
great review! and it always catches up with you, huh…
The plot is very up-to-date, and so horrible getting stalked this way. Great reviewed, Shalini! A “must read”. Thank you! Michael
