MY REVIEW
So. Much. Fun. I loved every freaking word of this book. The story was delish where a kickass heroine, Ryley, could see ghosts and helped them crossover. Some just didn’t want to.
My first book by author Kate Allenton, the blurb caught my eye, and the first chapter caused my attention to zing with excitement. I loved when book bewitched me to keep reading from beginning to end.
The book had a ghost or two every few pages with Ryley trying to solve a few mysteries and help some. The author was clever enough to keep the prose to the just right boundary without making it too overwhelming.
Ryley’s best friend was a stripper ghost and she had a smart mouth on her. Oooh I loved her. Not that I want a ghost haunting me. I get scared of them in real life, but in books, they make me jump with joy. Go figure. I am paper bold.
The writing was sooo good that I didn’t even mind the hint of a triangle, as the main character was one smart cookie with a kind heart and sassy mouth. How I longed to be her…
I loved the book as the author hit all the right notes with me. I had fun, excitement to keep reading coursed through me. All in all, one of the best afternoon reads.
