MY REVIEW
Got to say, author Ruth Heald writes fun stories filled with lies, deceptions, and threats.
This was a twisted tale of someone threatening Lauren a month before her wedding and things reaching a climax when the wedding was almost called off.
The writing threw a lot of clues along red herrings. It was up to me to chose wisely. I liked how the author kept me guessing while being certain of certain facts.
Unfortunately, having read thrillers most of my life, story could be easily guessed. It was actually obvious who the perp was and some of the reasons for all the threats.
But fear not, the prose still drew me in with its delicious charm. Short chapters, fast pace, entertaining plotline kept me hooked during my breakfast.
Fun… fun… fun…

BOOK BLURB
I paused and read it again, my hands trembling as I scanned the vicious message. Just four words were printed in the card, in such small lettering they were almost an afterthought. He doesn’t love you.
I’ve been dreaming about this day – marrying Adam, my childhood sweetheart, who I’ve loved for eighteen years.
I didn’t realize the perfect day would turn into the perfect nightmare.
I was so excited to send out the wedding invitations, carefully writing everyone’s names on thick cream paper in beautiful cursive script.
I had no idea I was inviting someone to destroy our marriage.
I couldn’t wait to say ‘I do’ surrounded by loved ones clinking champagne glasses.
I couldn’t imagine that one of them would try to hurt me.
It was meant to be the first day of the rest of our lives.
I never thought it would be the end of my life as I knew it.
We were meant to share our vows, to toast our future. But when the truth comes out, shocking the onlooking guests and ripping my heart out, is a happy ever after possible?

Wonderful review! xx
With some books, the important thing is the journey (plot, characters, writing style), not the destination (the ending). Sometimes predictable is a good thing.
I agree. Sometimes I need comfort of similarity. How are you Linda? Sorry to have been lost. Had a fall, sprained a few body parts… Have been in pain since a couple of weeks.
I’m sorry to hear that Shalini. Those things can take a while to recover from. Reading is a good distraction–unless you are in too much pain to concentrate. I hope you feel better soon.
