I re-read certain parts of the book to see whether they brought out the same emotions as they did months ago. And I have to agree – THEY DID. The story was of a homeless man beaten to death by the cops and soon a sniper killed the cops. A legal drama was the focal point. A secret was soon revealed.
The police brutality on the homeless man followed by their arrogance still made my blood boil. The war hero who fought for their country was pulverized to death. This brought out my shivers and my inner turmoil over what levels humans could go down to. Evil resided in humans more than any being on this planet.
The legal drama followed by the revelation captured my thriller-y mind. The visually impaired lawyer was brilliant. It was fast paced and exciting.
This was one book which stayed with me for a long time. A social issue wrapped in fiction still brought out my emotions and bespoke the HONEST TRUTH about JUSTICE GONE.

It would curl your insides with anger
I didn’t mean to make people angry when I wrote the book. I admit I was angry writing the first chapter, but for the book as a whole I just wanted to show that justice needs to be protected and nurtured by our collective actions and attitudes.
It would incite the emotions of any good human being when humanity was being crushed so recklessly

Hi Virginia – I have a completed manuscript with Tessa Thorpe 5-6 years before the setting of Justice Gone which I’m currently seeking a publisher for, but my NEXT writing project, which I am about to start, will once again feature Nat Bodine, the blind lawyer, so your wish may come true! I think it will be just as emotional as JG
