THE BIRTHDAY LIST

  • Read a book
  • Read a police procedural
  • Read a book with Demons in the title
  • Laugh evilly
  • Think about DJ because she would understand it perfectly.
  • And that’s how I started my birthday today…

And yes, wishes are welcome😁

Many thanks to Jill and Books ‘n’ All Promotions for my spot on this Blog Tour.

Wish you a very happy birthday, Stewart!

Apparently, I share a birthday with him…

The maverick cop DI Jason Smith was back with another murder mystery. This time someone was killing the sinners.

My third or fourth book by author Stewart Giles, the story was a pure adrenaline rush. I loved how the team worked. Sheer dynamism and camaraderie seeped off them. I loved reading everything about the team.

Jason Smith was enigmatic in the way he came to conclusions about the murderer. I liked how his brain could make the connections. His personal life was well shown to give me an idea of how human he was.

Then came my niggles, the book was a pure dynamo in most parts, though I felt it flailed near the end. Things which were obvious were missed.

Overall, this was the best way to start the day. Took me exactly 1.5 hours to read this. A fun read… What next?

I received a free ARC from Jill and the author, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

All my reviews can be read here

‘Forgive me father, for I have sinned.’

Someone is killing people in York. All of the victims share a secret that the murderer is somehow aware of and all of them receive an identical message after they are killed.
‘God has forgiven you your sins, but He could not rid you of your demons. So I have taken them for you.’

Detective Sergeant Jason Smith heads up the most draining investigation he’s ever come across. Coming face to face with demons of his own, will this be the case that finally sends Smith over the edge?

      1. Thank you, my dear! Hope you will have a beautiful birthday celebrations too. With temperatures over 24 degrees, you will have it much more better than here, in the darkness of Bavarian Siberia. 😉

  1. Happy Birthmonth! I hope you celebrated all 31 days with feasting and frivolity – that is how I do it 😉

  2. I’m so glad I read the post and learned about your birthday today, Shalini. Have a blessed and wonderful birthday, you sweet lady! I really like that idea of the birthday month too, I think we should both adopt it for 2020 for sure! You could always start yours today and go 31 days forward anyway, just blame it on it being your first time lol. I hope your birthday is lovely.

  3. Ooh man, I missed your birthday??! I’m so sorry, dear. Just want you to know that both myself and the CE wish you a wonderful year. I got by with being 35 for several years until my kids figured out that couldn’t be right. It could work for you too. You don’t look a day older.

Awesome to see you here. Let's chat.
