MY REVIEW
This was actually a romantic suspense with a tinge of police procedural and serial killer thrown it to increase the atmosphere of the book.
My second or third book by author Keri Beevis, I was in awe of this author’s talent as she made the genre roll in smoothly with nary a seam.
Casey was an RJ now with a past history of being a witness to a serial killer’s handiwork. Cue thirteen years later, another killer made their appearance, and it was all she could do to maintain her mental balance, especially when she was given puzzles to solve which would give her the barest of time to save the women. Whew. I tell ya it was sooo good.
I loved how the scenes brought those tingles of excitement in my heart. I had my theories about who could be the killer. The author gave me so many clues. And I went a step further to generate a theory about those theories.
I could barely turn the pages sequentially to get to the truth one page at a time. Blehhh… They should allow us to start from the end. I soooo needed to get to the killer.
Would you believe it? I enjoyed the romance too. The chemistry between the MCs prickled my senses. The book had moments of flirting and light fun along with dark moments when the killer made his demands.
I never felt the weight of the pages, and the book turned pages almost my itself, constantly. So happy that my theories were right. I would make a great Detective… Hmm an armchair one.

Great review Shalini. This is a new author to me, I have not heard of her before.
This sounds like perfection – and you got your cardio in 😉
