Many thanks to Rachel and Rachel’s Random Resources for my spot on this Blog Tour.
Oh to be a child again!! When that’s not possible, then reading a book on faeries, elves, witches, and a dragon was the best way to start the day.
Avery and Zaria, two young faeries seeking adventure, went to explore the Eerie Hollow, got to know a few secrets in the elven kingdom when the king of elves forced them on a quest. The two saw more of the world beyond Saizia, met a witch or two, discovered a secret sanctuary, came back to discover they were in the eye of a storm. Secrets revealed, magic used, and a fight to save their kingdom soon followed.
My first book by Tonya L. Chaves, it had everything to enrapture a child and a few adults on the way. The imagination of the author had to be commended upon when the story took its delightful turns, some were gentle, and others twisted. Secrets brought out a few unexpected bumps too.
Tony’s writing was clear, every scene could be visualized in its vividness. The emotions evoked ranged from friendship, awe, fear, courage, and of course, intelligence and bravery during the fight scenes. Love was also inserted, though my personal belief was it was not needed. The story would have worked beautifully with the core concept of friendship.
The two main characters captured my heart, their enthusiasm during perils and rewards had me cheering them on. Their loyalty and friendship to each other held steadfast even when the divide between them could have been turned into a chasm.
A fun breakfast read which took me away from the daily boring humdrum to a land filled with enchanted beings, where magic and spells paved the way for a brighter day. Well recommended for the child in you!!
I received a free ARC from Rachel and the author, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

Tonya is an American fantasy fiction writer from a small town in California. She currently lives in the Central Valley with her husband and children. In her spare time, she can be found quilting in her sewing room, reading, or writing. Faeries of Saizia is her first published work.
Zäria and Avery, two teenage faeries seeking adventure, get more than they bargained for when they start spying on the elves of Eerie Hollow. They discover why the elves are making delectable chocolates in the forest only to be captured by their adversary, Thordon who threatens them into taking on a quest. They run into more trouble while crossing through The Perilous Forest when they meet a witch with her own agenda. Their only hope is to locate an ancient faerie sanctuary they’ve only heard of in legend.
Secrets are revealed about Zäria’s parents, which leaves her conflicted and forced to make some tough choices. Just when the fae think their troubles are over, the kingdom of Saizia is in danger of being destroyed. Will Zäria and Avery be able to get help on time? How will they defeat the evil Thordon?
Inspired by the author’s children, Faeries of Saizia is a unique bedtime story that will instill a love for reading, love for nature, and belief in life’s endless possibilities.
