MY REVIEW
Oh my!! I was so glad my school days were long behind me. Here the teachers were all atrocious. I wouldn’t have ever survived in this atmosphere.
Always wanted to read this author so when I got the opportunity, I grabbed it with both hands. With different POVs, it took me a little time to track them all, but most of them were teachers who had hidden motives.
The author etched all her characters with the ink of crazy, to the point that I didn’t know who was good or bad. Teddy was the one who most fascinated me. But fear not, the others were equally twisted.
This was a dark comic, almost a satire, set on a backdrop of a rich school with its privileged students. The entire story was fun and quite enjoyable when I let go of my need to make sense of it all. As the body count increased, the thrill too rose up.
I would say it was quite an intense plot and a completely dark delight.

BOOK BLURB
Teddy Crutcher has won Teacher of the Year at the prestigious Belmont Academy. Everyone thinks he’s brilliant. Only you know the truth.
They all smile when he tells us his wife couldn’t be more proud – though if they stopped to think, they would realise no-one has seen her in a while.
They’re impressed when he doesn’t let anything distract him – even the tragic death of a school parent. Even when the whispers start, saying it was murder.
You’re sure Teddy is hiding something about what happened that day. You’re sure you can prove it.
You just didn’t stop to think that when it comes to catching a killer, there’s no place more dangerous than just one step behind…

I downloaded the digital version of the book from an online retail, and this is my journey down its pages, straight from the heart. STRICTLY HONEST and UNBIASED.

Nice review Shalini. I want to read this one, but need to wait until my library gets it. I don’t usually read a lot of books set in and around schools after being an educator for over 30 years, but this one sounds interesting.
I adore this author
