Many thanks to Rachel and Rachel’s Random Resources for my spot on this Blog Tour.
A police procedural which had the hunter at the helm. My first book by the author Val Penny, I was quite enamored by DI Hunter Wilson and well taken aback at the way the author had enmeshed all the plot lines.
The subplots initially had me in a tizzy. There was a car racing down the roads, lost child, murders of 3 women, and drugs and overall mayhem. How the Hunter found his way in the minefield of characters was a mind freak. The author’s writing was dipped in the ink of dark plots and vivid imagery when she wrote this book.
It was a pleasure to know the team, their connections seemed strong and well rooted. They worked hard to get to the truth. There were many tie ups of the plot both professionally and personally, the author did a fabulous job bringing them together.
I like my police procedurals, and this was one of the different ones that I would probably read this year. Quite entertaining.
I received a free ARC from Rachel and the author, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.
All my reviews can be read here
DI Hunter Wilson never has just one problem to solve.
Three elderly women he knows have died in mysterious circumstances. Hunter appears to be the only link.
A little girl goes missing on a cold winter’s night. When his team discovers cocaine hidden at the farm where she was living, the search becomes even more urgent.
Why did the women die? And what did the child witness?
Hunter must find the answers to these questions to ensure his family and his city are safe.
