MY REVIEW
This gal was simply too much. She made my heart race faster than ever, the suspense pounding in my blood to the point of throttling me with curiosity as I fell into the book to know its secrets. And the gal I was speaking of was author Kiersten Modglin.
My second book by her, and I thought she would soon become my auto-buy author. That belonged only to my one great love author Matthew Reilly, fell in love with him in his first book. But getting back to this book, here went the gist of it.
Grace and Ryan were just married, and they went on their honeymoon to a remote cottage/cabin. Why o why would they go to a place with no mobile network… Simple… Just for this book to happen
And things happened; someone tried to kill them. Of course, that had to happen. It was a suspenseful thriller set in remote place. But fear not, that wouldnt be the only thing happening. This was this Kiersten’s book. Nothing could be as simple as that. This gal would never allow her characters to be so one dimensional.
And you guessed it. Secrets abounded within the dark hearts, and each made me laugh in giddy pleasure. Bring it on. Why not? The darker the characters, the naughtier they behaved. And my thriller-y heart got so tuned on by that. Yeah yeah… I am weird like that.
At 225 pages, it packed a punch with chills and thrills and twists that you wouldn’t ever believe. I love books that could be read over a cupppa tea and toast. This fit the bill perfectly.
So happy that Bookouture got this author on their list. She is brilliant
