Many thanks to Victoria Joss and publisher Aria for my spot on this Blog Tour.

I usually don’t read romance, but sometimes the cover of the book just draws you in. The same happened when I looked at this cover. I was entranced, something about the lone woman against the backdrop of the snow gave me hope. And I started reading.

Lucy Coleman is truly an author who can write the depths of romance. The trope sounded familiar, a clause between two coworkers who pretended to be in a relationship just to get the relatives off their backs. And love happened between the two.

The characters, Cary and Leesa, had hidden depths in this book, they had a past, and they knew where they were going in life. Both had been hurt in love, yet they succeeded well enough in their careers. Maybe they recognized each other in their hurt. Cary was the gallant gentleman who stole away my heart too.

Lucy Coleman’s writing had a sense of timelessness where family and relationships mattered. Cary’s family, with all its skirmishes, were still a delight to read. I loved the grandmother Cressida who tugged at my heartstrings. Her story of loss and love brought a sharp pain which gentled as I turned the pages.

A slower and a longer read as compared to my other books, it kept me engrossed in the lives of these characters. It was time and love which slowly healed their broken hearts to make them whole again, ready to love and find their magic under the Mistletoe.

I received a free ARC from NetGalley and publisher, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

From interior designer to author, Linn – who also writes under the pen name of Lucy Coleman – says ‘it’s been a fantastic journey!’
Linn is the bestselling author of more than a dozen novels and is excited to be writing for both Harper Impulse (Harper Collins) and Aria Fiction (Head of Zeus); she’s represented by Sara Keane of the Keane Kataria Literary Agency.

When she’s not writing, or spending time with the family, she’s either upcycling furniture or working in the garden.
Linn won the 2013 UK Festival of Romance: Innovation in Romantic Fiction award; her novels have been short-listed in the UK’s Festival of Romance and the eFestival of Words Book Awards.
Living in Coed Duon in the Welsh Valleys with her ‘rock’, Lawrence, and gorgeous Bengal cat Ziggy, she freely admits she’s an eternal romantic.
Linn is a member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association and writes feel-good, uplifting novels about life, love and relationships.

It’s December 23rd and while everyone else is rushing home for the holidays, workaholic Leesa Oliver is dreading switching on her out-of-office for the festive season. And it seems her equally driven boss, Cary Anderson, isn’t relishing spending Christmas at his family’s country estate either.

So together, they draft an unexpected Christmas contract: They’ll spend half of the holidays with each other’s families, pretending to be a couple. Leesa knows the insufferably good-looking Cary will make her Christmas more bearable, but what happens after the last of the mince pies have been eaten…?

Leesa signed off on a sensible business agreement, but somewhere, amongst the fairy lights and carols something seems to have changed… It seems there might just be some magic under the mistletoe this Christmas!

  1. Lovely review 💛 I enjoy Linn’s books, especially when I want a change from darker storylines. I’m on the blog tour for this one.

      1. The two that spring to mind are Under The Stars and Christmas at Bay Tree Cottage. I enjoyed Snowflakes over Holly Bay as well but I think that was written under Lucy Coleman.

  2. Thank you so much, Shalini, for being on the tour and taking the time to read and review! Much appreciated and I’m so delighted you enjoyed the story. That means a lot to me, lovely lady. xx
