A cute story which continued from book 1. Since I had not read that, I was in a big conundrum about who was who and how they connected with each other. It took me 2 attempts to get into this book. Please read book 1 to understand the characters better.
This series dealt with grandmother Olivia and grandsons Rafe and Adam. Rafe was in love with Neva in spite of the snobbish Grandma’s objections. Her best friend Jo visited her. A nurse Hazel was employed to look after Olivia. A publicist Amelia was employed for Rafe’s business, but who wanted to hook her claws into Rafe. Adam had all these ladies to flirt with. This was their continued story.
My fifth book by author Emily Harvale, this was a fast read where I got to know what happened further with the characters and their lives. Sometimes I wished that more context was given around the characters so that they felt anchored. I was pretty lost.
Love was in the air along with flirting. It was nice to see characters falling in love at first sight, then at second and third. Quite a bit of Insta-love happening.
I liked Olivia the best. She stayed true to her nature and was clear in her dealings. I never had a problem understanding her viewpoints. I also liked that she didn’t deal with many of the characters.
The story did have a crisis and the reveal of a secret, and it was nice to read how the brothers found a way out. Overall, it was a book in continuity and a sweet, fast read.
I received a free ARC from Rachel and the author, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

The New Year brings unexpected revelations at Wynter House.
Neva Grey’s Christmas brought several surprises. Now a shocking secret has life-changing consequences for the Wynters, as the New Year brings revelations … and relatives to Wynter House.
It also brings Hazel Smart and Amelia Goodbody. And it’s not just Adam and Rafe Wynter who are pleased Hazel and Amelia have come to stay. Olivia Wynter will enjoy bossing nurse Hazel around and she also makes it clear Amelia – who is handling the marketing for Rafe’s new business venture – is far more suited to be her grandson’s girlfriend than Neva will ever be.
Whilst Amelia is ensconced at Wynter House, Neva is busy with her new hair and beauty salon in Merriment Bay. Perhaps she should enlist her niece, Sasha’s help because just when she thought she had found the love of her life, old secrets, ghosts from the past, and new arrivals might shatter all her dreams.
At least she has her best friend, Jo Duncan to lean on. But newly single, Jo is determined to have some fun, both at Wynter House and in Merriment Bay. And so is Adam Wynter.

What?!! Olivia was vile!
I understood her snobbery, she was a villain. The rest were not anchored… They were floating heads. I was so confused…
You really need to read the first book to fully comprehend the family dynamics. Both matriarchs were heinous
I don’t think this book is my cup of tea, Shalini, but I enjoyed your review.
Thank you. I didn’t understand the book as I was told it was standalone but actually it was NOT
