Many thanks to author Kim Nash for my spot on this Blog Tour.
A beautiful story which melted my heart from the first page to the end. Author Kim Nash had given me the perfect book in these tough times. Warmth permeated from every corner of the prose, enveloping me in a gentle cocoon as I turned the pages.
4 friends from childhood had made a pact to spend a week in Portugal around their fiftieth birthday. Each one had issues at home and needed to discover and perhaps reinvent herself. A journey of a lifetime to their school days and back was what happened in those 7 days along with a dream for the future.
My second book by this author, the fragrance of the story swirled around me from the moment I opened the book. Reading the first page, I knew I was in for some wholesome love. Friendship between the women came alive in the words written by author Kim Nash.
The women were rock-solid. They were loyal to each other, supportive, yet with minor skirmishes; that made them real. The ladies slowly endeared themselves to me. Their conversations, in between their fun times of G&T and soaking up the sun, were honest and dealt with issues all of us go through. The author managed the nuances quite sensitively.
What were sun and drinks without some hunky men. And there were a couple of those who could melt my heart amongst other parts, with their enthusiasm and honesty. I can safely say, only in fiction is such perfection found. Where can I find one for myself, I wonder?
The story had its ups and downs as solutions to their lives were found. I was greedy enough to long for more angst and serious twists. The book was a pearl, formed in the oyster of goodness, that could safely anchor me, while allowing me to float in its pages.
An buoyant happy read that affirmed the strength of friendship and family, especially during tough times.
I received a ARC from the author, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

It’s never too late to be offered a second chance at life.
Debs is newly single, Fiona is caring for her mum, Samantha is grieving, and Liv has the perfect life – or so she’d like her friends to think…
This year, these four life-long friends are turning fifty, and Liv is determined they will honour their promise to each other – made on a beach at sunrise twenty-nine years before – to celebrate this milestone together.
And what better place than a gorgeous villa where they will be spoiled and enjoy the stunning beaches, picturesque fishing towns and glorious climate of the Algarve?
But time away from home doesn’t always make the heart grow fonder. Sometimes it makes the thought of returning to your life too hard to bear. Especially with more than one gorgeous Portuguese man making hearts unexpectedly flutter…
It begins as a reunion in the sunshine, but little do the four friends know what life-changing decisions they’ll all be making before their flight home.

Lovely review Shalini. I am adding this one to my TBR, it sounds like just what we need and with more mature characters that I can identify with.
