This review is dedicated to DJ and Nina because they would enjoy the book as much as I did.

None of us can understand why it’s the men with the smallest appendages who seem the most keen to take photos of them.

One of the golden nuggets from the book, which had a few of them, that made me snort and giggle 🤭

The cutest book of 2020 filled with warmth and love written by a brilliant author Jaimie Admans who understood the need of the hour and gave me hours of sheer happiness and joy. The book had the comfort of a loving home and the heart of cherished friend. The story was all that and more.

Hallie had the worst luck in the world. No job and no good place to stay. And things turned. She had won a bookshop for free, the one she’d always visited as a child. Along with the shop came it’s resident gorgeous man Dimitri and goldfish Heathcliff. And it was one stumbling incident after the other as both were the clumsiest of all people.

My first read by author Jaimie Admans, and I revered the book for its pure goodness and humor along with discussion of books in the prose. Both the characters loved their books from classic to contemporary to YA.

Hallie and Dimitri had passion slowly flaring between them, but each had a past, especially Dimitri. Their bonding occurred almost instantly and at the same time, they went into their friendship/relationship slowly. Being hurt did that to you.

The author’s writing was simply fabulous. It was like the blooming of flowers in spring, the fall of the leaves in autumn, the sparkle of sunshine on a gentle brook, the first shower of rains on the arid earth. The book had me rejoicing in its pages. It had me savoring every word as if the author had written it only for me. Pages were turned almost reverently as I didn’t want to disturb the delightful conversation between the characters.

I loved their thoughts, their feelings, their views. I loved their principles and their take on life, in spite of the crush of grief. As Dimitri said—there was something wonderful waiting to happen—I believed the most wonderful thing happened when I opened the book and read the first line.

The book was a gift from heavens during this world crisis. It made me happy. It made me giggle. It made me want to hug it. It made really glad that I got the opportunity to read it.

It was the perfect slice of literary bliss!! Would I recommend it? What do ya think?

I received a free ARC from the author, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

Today is the Mondayest Monday ever. Hallie Winstone has been fired – and it wasn’t even her fault!

Having lost her job and humiliated herself in front of a whole restaurant full of diners, this is absolutely, one hundred percent, the worst day of her life.

That is until she receives an email announcing that she is the lucky winner of the Once Upon a Page Bookshop!

Owning a bookshop has always been Hallie’s dream, and when she starts to find secret love letters on the first pages of every book, she knows she’s stumbled across something special.

Things get even better when she meets gorgeous, bookish Dimitri and between them, they post a few of the hidden messages online, reuniting people who thought they were lost forever.

But maybe it’s time for Hallie to find her own happy-ever-after, too?

  1. Woot – thanx for the dedication! I am honored and know I must read this book, it sounds divine!

      1. In the review you gave the back very well.
Your reviews are really worth a literary category of their own. Thank you, i am well (and angry about the Roman-Catholics) as always. 😉 Hope you are staying well to. Its much more harder for you with social distancing in a city with billions of people. Take care of you and yours!

If the book is half as good as your review, it is well worth reading.
