Many thanks to Rachel and Rachel’s Random Resources for my spot on this Blog Tour.
A beautiful heart warming read which transported me from the warm rush hour traffic to the brilliant blue seas and the peaceful landscapes of Santorini. This is also one of the places that I would love to visit one day.
Anna learned some truths about her life where she realized she had no personal life or a career. Packing her bags, she escaped the dreary life to the peaceful island of Santorini where her father had left her a ramshackle cottage. Helping her to fix it was the handsome va-va-voom hunk Nikos. And sparks flew.
The debut by Samantha Parks had me dreaming about the story as it unfolded, though I have to admit in my mind it was me that Nikos was romancing. I couldn’t help it. Samantha’s writing had the magic which transported me to the magical beautiful island, directly into Nikos’s arms.
Emotions gripped my heart, there was fun and humor too. Anna was a great character who got the opportunity to a second start to her life. Nikos was the catalyst to her broken heart. Romance was never more in the air till I read this book.
This was an easy perky breakfast read which uplifted me, caused me to hope and dream, and in the end, it was all about LOVE. A fast paced, fun romantic story which brightened up my day completely.
I received a free ARC from Rachel and author Samantha Parks, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.
All my reviews can be read here
Samantha Parks is the pen name of Sam Gale. Her pen name comes from her late grandmother Velma Hobbs nee Parks, who was one of Sam’s greatest role models. Sam was born in North Carolina but now resides in Bournemouth, UK, with her husband Alex. She owns a successful marketing company and is enjoying her slow descent into “crazy plant lady” status.
The Summer House in Santorini is her first novel.
Anna’s running away. From a failed relationship, a dead-end career and a complicated family life.
On the island of Santorini, with its picturesque villas, blue-tiled roofs, and the turquoise waters of the Aegean lapping at the white sand beaches, Anna inherits a less-than-picturesque summer house from her estranged father. As she rebuilds the house, she rebuilds her life, uncovering family secrets along the way that change everything. She starts to fall for her little slice of paradise, as well as for gorgeous, charming Nikos.
Will Anna lose her heart in more ways than one?
