Many thanks to Midas PR and the author for my spot on this Blog Tour.

Since I had never read a single Jason Bourne book or seen the movies, this book did not have a Ludlum hangover on me. I enjoyed the book for the pure thrill of the main character and his action as written by the author Joshua Hood.

Treadstone destroyed Adam, cost him his family and nearly his sanity. So he left it all behind until a message from his buddy made him come back to the forefront using all his old skills to get to the bottom of it. A great good VS evil themed story.

The book was just set at one speed – turbo jet. There was no stopping it, and that was the brilliance about the writing. The scenes were adrenaline-filled where each one demanded my attention to visualize it like a three-dimensional movie. The story whizzed by with its twists and action.

Adam stole my heart, most of these action heroes do. Moments of vulnerability clashed with reality and loyalty until he had no choice but to help his friend. Attacks mounted on him, and it was sure fun to imagine him in each scenario. He got my pulse racing for all the right reasons and some wrong ones too.

Body count was definitely high. Come on, there really were too many of those enemies. I liked how the author made his hero work hard. Overall this is one book which has to be, HAS TO BE made into a movie with a swoonworthy hero… We need it, don’t we? 😋

I received a free ARC from Midas PR and the author, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

The first novel in an explosive new series inspired by Robert Ludlum’s Bourne universe, The Treadstone Resurrection introduces an unforgettable hero and the shadowy world that forged him…
Treadstone made Jason Bourne an unstoppable force, but he’s not the only one.

Operation Treadstone has nearly ruined Adam Hayes. The top-secret CIA Black Ops program trained him to be an all but invincible assassin, but it also cost him his family and any chance at a normal life. Which is why he was determined to get out. Working as a carpenter in rural Washington state, Adam thinks he has left Treadstone in the past, until he receives a mysterious email from a former colleague, and soon after is attacked by an unknown hit team at his job site.

Adam must regain the skills that Treadstone taught him–lightning reflexes and a cold conscience–in order to discover who the would-be killers are and why they have come after him now. Are his pursuers enemies from a long-ago mission? Rival intelligence agents? Or, perhaps, forces inside Treadstone? His search will unearth secrets in the highest levels of government and pull him back into the shadowy world he worked so hard to forget.
