MY REVIEW
Tabby loved Connor years ago. He left her and moved on in life. She did too, but he was her one true love. Years later, he came back, and she connected with him. But he was married. Their affair continued irrespective as his wife didn’t understand him. The day Tabby turned up at Connor’s house to tell him about her pregnancy, the wife died. The path was free for the lovers; they got married. Cops started investigating the wife’s death. Tabby was arrested, then she got hold of the wife’s diary.
My second book by author Michele Campbell, I loved the first one, The Stranger On The Beach. I had great hopes while starting the book. But I didn’t like Tabby from the moment she agreed to have an affair with Connor, knowing he was married. She didn’t think of the wife, just her feeling of love. *Yeah right!! True love really says have sex!! (being totally sarcastic)*
The story started well, barring the steaming of sheets, I was truly unsure if Tabby was naive or a master strategist. But as the book progressed, I felt the distinct lack of suspense. I wanted the book to be pumping excitement in my blood, not sappy lines of true love or the one that got away. *Yea right, the man who ditches you is true love*
I liked that every page made me hate and doubt the characters even more. I wanted to know where Tabby would end up, jail or with millions. The book had more lines about true love rather than of suspicion and mistrust. He might be a killer, but I love him too!! Yea, sounds about right. That’s the way true love should be *roll of eyes*
I got frustrated with Tabby by the end and was happy when she was arrested. But the true love feeling continued right till the last line. Legacy of true love was her story. The parts where the author added the twists were great, the rest was romance. And you guessed it – True Love.
Read it if you believe in true love.

Connor—and her.”Who is Connor Ford? Why did he marry Nina? Is Tabitha his true love, or a convenient affair? As the police investigate Nina’s death, is she a convenient suspect? As Tabitha is drawn deeper into the dark glamour of a life she is ill-prepared for, it becomes clear to her that what a wife knows can kill her.
