This was a rom com, fantastical kind of a read.
Libby in her 20s in UK loved actor Thom in his 40s who lived in USA. Married actor with kids soon got divorced and wanted to get together with his ex Ebba. In UK, Libby had written a script and Dan was her best friend in the publishing world. It was an okay script but somehow she managed to get it across to Thom who loved it. So he called Libby over to USA to his home, and it felt as if all her unscripted dreams were fulfilled.
My first book by author Claire Handscombe, the story had a lilt of a dream singing its song. The prose written bespoke of how anything could happen in life if one believed in it strongly. The characters played their parts. Thom was the typical narcissistic actor, who soon grew up. Ebba was his ex who too fell in love with him
But it was basically Libby’s story where Thom played a huge part. I understood her hero worship, we all did that. And sometimes it might lead to a wee bit of obsessiveness. Well, that too happens in Hollywood. The story foretold me her innocence where she still led her life wearing rose tinted glasses. I was worried what would happen when she realized the truth.
Dan was the best in the book, he was calm and kind and an overall sweetheart. Unrequited love was well shown. Emotions were evoked when hearts broke. The story had a bit of improbability in it. But that is fiction. Anything could happen.
Overall, it was a fun breezy read.
On a slightly humorous note
Are you in love with any actors and would you have a relationship with him given an opportunity? I wouldn’t. As a doc, I would be too worried about STDs 😂😂 I don’t trust them actors.

Nobody is a bigger fan of actor Thomas Cassidy than Libby is. Nobody. That’s why she’s totally going to marry him.
She is going to write a novel, name the main character after Thom, and find a way to get it to him. Intrigued and flattered, he will read it, fall in love with her prose, write to her and ask to turn it into a movie. She will pretend to think about it for a week or so, then say, sure, but can I work on it with you? Their eyes will meet over the script, and fade to black. It is a fail-proof plan.
Except for the fact that he is a Hollywood star – not A list, perhaps not B list, but certainly C+ – and she is, well, not. Except for the fact that he lives in America. Except, too, for the teeny tiny age gap. Not even twenty years! Totally overcomable. All of the obstacles are totally overcomable. It’s all about determination.

ha ha ha, so no actors, huh? well, there are those std’s, but then everything else as well. Ugh, not just the physical dear, how could you get past the ego?
Hahaha I have a big ego too… But as a doc I keep wondering about it. Even on my date, not that I go on any, I am worried.. My thought is where all has his mouth been? 😂😂😂😂😂
