Many thanks to Sarah and BOTBS Publicity for my spot on this Blog Tour.
There are some thriller books which follow the norm beginning, mid, and an explosive end. Then there are those like this book which had me scrambling all over the pages, trying to get to the truth. How did I miss the clues? How did the author Alex Kane pull the wool over my eyes? The book was so deliciously cunning!!
Alex Kane had crafted her plot so wickedly that I had to go back and re-read a few scenes. The chapters were melded so well that it had me searching minutely for the seam to see the disjointed jagged ends. But no such luck. I could have never guessed the massive reveal of the last few chapters. Quite an innovative plot in recent times.
2 women, Beth and Victoria were in abusive relationships, and soon a friend common to both, Lydia, decided to help them. But they were linked by a secret so horrifying that I had a hard time believing that I was duped so well by the story.
I did have a tiny niggle popping up, the story was a bit slow for me as the chapters kept moving from past to present of the same 3 characters. Somehow, that confused my brain.
Overall, this was certainly a different psychological thriller, quite unexpected. You have to read it to believe it. But be warned—
You have to believe what you are reading where what you read is not what you should believe and what you should believe is what you read between the lines.
Figure this out!! FANTASTIC!!
I received an ARC from Sarah Hardy, NetGalley and publisher Hera Books, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

She’s your best friend. And your worst enemy…
Beth
Beth is a woman running from her demons. Moving to Glasgow to escape the tragedy that ended with the death of her ex-boyfriend, she’s trying to build a new life, to tentatively find new love. But her past is following her, and try as she might, she can’t shake the feeling that someone is watching her every move.
Victoria
Victoria is unhappily married to Greg. On their wedding day he told her he would love her until they grew old, but now he’s becoming secretive, staying out for ‘business meetings’ and growing distant from his wife. After finding incriminating texts on his phone, Victoria contacts an old friend for support, the one person in her life that has never let her down yet.
Lydia
Lydia knows she is the only one that can help Victoria. Jumping straight back into their friendship, despite the four-year absence from Victoria’s life, she vows to stop at nothing to help her get revenge. Good friends will do anything for each other, right?
But Lydia has made a new friend in Beth, and now, none of them are safe…
Three women. Three stories. One devastating secret.
