Digital Reads Blog Tours proudly presents Author Linda Wisniewski’s new book — Where The Stork Flies

This was quite a departure from my routine reads. But the idea of a time slip intrigued me, especially when the main character Kat was visited by someone who resembled her grandmother.

Regina wanted to go back home to 1800 Poland, and Kat had to first understand the situation and try to find a portal/wormhole to transport her. But the path to home was filled with trails and tribulations, anger, tears, and smiles. And through it all, Kat had to rectify and learn her lesson before she could heal her present.

My first book by author Linda Wisniewski, I liked how the ladies tried to understand each other. There was a realistic depiction of friction before compromise.

The story detailed Regina’s stay in modern America. I loved the old lady who had to adjust so much. There was a sense of grace and strength in her that I so admired. The sudden American slangs she started using were quite funny. She gave back as good she got. Her pain and worry about her child wrenched my heart too.

Just a few niggles. The book was too long and the main part of the blurb occurred at 70% when the book was nearly done. More emotions would have uplifted the book.

Kat’s determination to help the old lady was admirable. I managed to warm up to her when she realized a few truths. Overall, it was a fun read in its most parts.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Kat is at loose ends after her husband ditched her and their daughter followed suit. When a lost time traveler appears in her Pennsylvania kitchen, she grasps at the chance to give her life meaning by helping the woman find her way home. But a mysterious stranger insists they are together for a purpose. Slipping through a portal to an 1825 Polish village, Kat meets her own ancestors and discovers how her own mistakes derailed her life. Can she bring her new understanding of forgiveness and unconditional love back to the present and heal her family before it’s too late?

I downloaded the digital version of the book from Kindle Unlimited, and this is my journey down its pages, straight from the heart. STRICTLY HONEST and UNBIASED.
