My review
I traversed the lanes of Amazon to find a purse for myself which would hold my cards and documents. I have bought big brands, but in a humid city like Mumbai, they don’t last. So I decided to check out the newer, lesser known companies to analyse what is presently available on Amazon.
I ordered the Rawhide Women’s Wallet (violet color) a few days ago and it arrived today!! So here it goes…
Appearance & Looks
The product came in the usual amazon bubblecoated plastic bag. But I had a pleasant surprise when I opened it. Rawhide had bubble wrapped the box for further protection.
A brownish maroon box with Rawhide written on it, gave it a classy look.
I opened the box and to my second surprise, my purse came in its own cloth bag. Fabulous! I love coThe color is cool solid violet. It\’s lightweight and seems durable. It\’s small enough that it does not occupy too much space in my purse. It seems just right to hold the essentials without becoming too bulky. The zips are smooth, work well. There are a lot of pockets and slots for the daily travel needs. Overall, I love it. A good buy!!\nP. S my mother says the zippered pocket seems to have enough space, so that the fingers can go through them easily to pick up the coins. There is no struggle. Well! Mothers are always right!! mpanies which take care of such small details too.
In a humid city, when the wallet is not being used, it can be kept in its cloth bag in the closet. That protects the PU leather from fungus. Kudos to Rawhide for giving my wallet its own cloth bag!!
I loved the dark violet color, I found it quite regal. I was so happy to see it had no shine to it. It is lightweight and easy to carry in my palm, that makes it all the more better. I can use it alone when I travel short distances or keep in my handbag for longer travels.
Material
The purse is made from PU leather which seems durable and most purses are made from PU leather in India. The zips are soft and self colored (I hate the metal ones, as they sometimes get stuck after use), they open and close smoothly, I did test it many times 😉😉
Specifications
Approximately 6.5″ × 3.5″ × 1″ it is a bifold clutch, which can go into my handbag easily, without occupying too much space.
Compartments & Slots
The bifold compartment holds the slots for the credit cards, visiting cards and photographs (Yes! I do carry a lot of knickknacks in my wallet too!) There are 16 such slots. These slots also have pockets behind them for money and documents, 6 such pockets. There are 2 zippered pockets on the outside for my coins and pins ( I am a girl, I do carry them)
Cons
The only con I can think of, is that my phone with 5.5 inch screen does not go in one of the pockets. Ya, ya I know that’s asking for too much from a wallet.
First Impression
The color is cool solid violet. It’s lightweight and seems durable. It’s small enough that it does not occupy too much space in my purse. Loved the wallet (the violet is really very appealing) and your review. You do it beautifully. But, for me, my phone should fit in the wallet, as mostly I carry my wallet without a big purse, and thus it’s easier to put the phone inside and carry it as a single unit.
