Hola! Digital Reads Alcove presents a new author on this bright new week. Saving Ginny by T N Lowe, a brilliant cover

Excerpt 1

“No, I don’t have a boyfriend,” I tell him my cheeks heating in embarrassment.
Dad laughs from the driver’s seat while Mom turns around to faces us, “Do you think your father and Garth would let any boys within ten feet of her?” They laugh, I roll my eyes.
The semi-truck next to us loses control sideswipes the passenger side of our car. Mom lets out an ear-splitting scream as Gavin yells something then whimpers in pain. Dad tries to avoid being hit again but loses control. The SUV flips end over end so many times I lose count. I scream. Dad yells, “Hold on, Ginny baby. I love you.” I hear the crumbling of metal, the smell gasoline, and smoke, then a loud boom in the distance. Everything stops; I can hear the crackling and popping of the Semi-truck that hit us.
I wait hoping someone heard or saw the accident and come to our rescue. But no one comes. I try to unbuckle my seatbelt to find help, but it’s stuck. I try to wiggle my way out from under its grasp. It only tightens its grip digging into my neck ripping and tearing into my skin. What started as a few drops of blood is now a steady stream of the warm liquid running down my left arm. I yell for help, and try not to move; scared that slightest move will kill me. I cry harder for Mom, Dad, or Gavin to help me but everyone is silent.

Excerpt 2

Someone put a key in the lock, the door opens letting in a sliver of light and closes with a creek as Dr. Mann enters. “Dr. Mann, what is going on? Where are we?’
“It’s Alex, Love. You hit your head. I brought you home to recover,” his voice full of concern.
Love? What the fuck is going on?
“Okay Alex, what the hell is going on? I need to go, Owen is coming home today. I need to pick him up from the airport,” I tell him trying like hell to stay calm.
“Do not say his name ever again. You are mine!” He growls.
I am not his and never have been. He is pissing me off. “Dr. Mann, I think you are confused. I am married to Owen Moore, we have had nothing but a professional relationship,” I explain trying to get him to understand.
“Call me Alex. I will not tell you again do not to say his name again. You and I have been seeing each other for a year in more than a professional capacity,” he tells me. Am I going crazy? I look down at my hand to see the rings Owen gave me I know that I cannot be that crazy. I met Owen this time last year at DIA. We became friends then dated in September and got married eight weeks ago. There is no way I made that all up, did I? My stomach rolls, and I dry heave. I think I have a concussion.
Alex rubs my back making my skin crawl, “Just breathe love; I’ll get you some water.”

Book blurb

After the tragic loss of their parents Ginny and her two brothers, Gavin and Garth leave Cheyenne, Wyoming. After fulfilling his military enlistment Garth and Gavin feel it’s time to return to Cheyenne to follow their own dreams now that Ginny is now eighteen.
Returning to Cheyenne, Ginny starts therapy with Dr. Mann to help her overcome her past. He recommends she open her social circle. Having a larger social circle will help to anchor her to the present rather than reliving the accident that took her parents.

Gavin and Garth take it upon themselves to make Ginny follow through by signing her up to sponsor newcomers to F.E. Warren AFB. This is how Ginny meets Second Lieutenant Owen Moore. Owen and Ginny have an instant attraction.

Will Owen be able to overcome Ginny’s tragic past? Will Ginny be able to overcome their linked history? Or will someone else come between them?
