My review
The story is about two people finding their way back to magic, the magic of perfume making, their love for the ingredients and their confidence. Believe in yourself and love what you do is the theme which underruns this story.
Del enters a perfume making contest held by the Leclere Parfumerie and if she wins, it would open the skies for her and her dreams of having her own brand in New York. Sebastian the owner of Leclere Parfumerie is going through his own stresses of managing such a huge empire.
Both the main characters are dealing with personal loss in their lives, Del, her nan and Sebastian, his dad Vincent the original perfume maker. Both have lost their mojo for creating perfumes. The entire story revolves around how they make their passions come alive, discover themselves, and find the song of their heart.
My first book by Rebecca Raisin, and it is a happy feel-good tale with lots of information about perfume making, in some places, it overwhelms the story. Sebastian and Del make a cute couple, their romance is woven along with the different contests. The other characters make the contests extremely competitive and fast-paced.
Paris is described beautifully; I could feel as if I was literally in Paris. The author Rebecca Raisin has this exceptional talent to make the descriptions of her prose come alive, both of Paris and the process of perfume making.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and publisher HQ Digital, and this is my honest and unbiased opinion.
My rating : 3.5 stars

Book blurb
When Del leaves small town America to compete in a perfume competition in Paris, she thinks it is just the next step on her five-year-plan. Arriving in Paris, watching the sun glinting off the Seine and wandering the Champs-Elysees, Del discovers the most perfect perfumery she’s ever seen.
Del has the romance of Paris to sweep her away from her worries, but as the competition heats up, so does her desire for that which she cannot have! If only the dashing owner Sébastien didn’t smell so seductive, look so handsome, and make her heart flutter like it never has before. They say love smells as sweet as a red rose in bloom, but Del would tell anyone that true love can’t be bottled – it’s beautiful and unique to everyone…even herself.
With everything on the line for her future, can Del really let a little attraction get in the way of securing her dreams?

Love your review. I have one of author’s books on my TBR list.
Thank you so much.💟💟 this was my first by her and I am going in search for the others
The title, cover and premise definitely drew me in. Sounds like a real cute and fun read.
Very cute but lots and lots and lots of information of perfumes
Oh… Lol.
Hehehe
Nice review. I’ve seen a movie called perfume but it isn’t romantic somewhat serious movie.
Oh really, I haven’t seen that movie.
Thanks
It’s a kind of thriller
Oh wow
Reblogged this on Die Erste Eslarner Zeitung – Aus und über Eslarn, sowie die bayerisch-tschechische Region!.
Thank you for all the reblogs
Reminds me of a Hallmark movie I’ve seen! Lol! Sounds like a cute read I might keep around for a “I need a pick me up” kind of day!
Yp lots and lots and lots of information about perfumes. More than the story
Well, since I used to work in perfume maybe I DON’T want to read this book! Lol! I don’t need the reminder!! 😉
Really you had the ‘nose’ for the notes of perfume – wow
Lol! It was a lot of work and constantly going home with migraines!
Ooooh luckily I don’t have the nose, can barely smell my own perfume hehehe
Actually, that’s a good thing! If you can smell your own perfume then you’re wearing too much, or it’s not mixing well with your body chemistry! Lol!
Hahaha… Maybe so. But since I cannot smell I tend to overload myself in it. Not sure if overload is the right word
Ha ha! I get that.
😉😉😊😊
It might be based on a hallmark movie too
