Can he return the Christmas joy into her life?
Christmas on an island, far from the carols and sugar cookies.
Yes, please. Sign me up now.
Until I get dumped into my worst nightmare, with no way to escape.
My perfect non-Holidays vacation now doesn’t seem so perfect anymore.
But then I meet him.
Tall, handsome, caring. And asking me to partake in the tinsels and Santa madness.
With his help, can I survive through the two most awful weeks of my life?
My Review
What was it all about
She wanted a dream of a vacation. She got dumped into her nightmare
He had his share of bad luck. But he found his entertainment with the elderly teens.
Christmas was all around them to guide them to find their spirit… and love?
How it made me feel
Another wallop of a fun read where the pages twirled as if they were tinsel. The entire set up was Christmassy, but the words carried their worth in emotions.
At around 200+ pages, the story had everything I would want in a romantic read, added to the pleasure of visiting Carter Hills Band gang.
Humor was interspersed at the right moments; I had to giggle at the Melted Santa scene. And it was midnight, my family did get a shock. Go on, read the book to know all the inner details of this banter.
The Good
Emotional scenes with kids melt my heart, and this book had one whole chapter where I was smiling through my tears. The words chosen just about flattened me. There was such a depth to it. My heart just burst out with love.
The writing was smooth. I could understand from where Aisha was coming from. Fear could make us take hasty decisions. All of us have.
At the core of it, this was a love story, a soulmates finding each other and feeling that intense connection. Steamy scenes had me melting elsewhere.
Ms. Snow’s writing captured the essence of love, the way it could encompass both the hearts and help them find a way to each other. Carter Hills Gang had a wonderful chapter where it was nice to meet the old crushes of mine.
I loved how I was given a complete story where I could immerse my soul where the heart longed to feel such a love.
Gavin was my guy in the book. I was so tempted to ask Ms. Snow to bump Aisha Jones and have me right in the arms of Gavin Moore. Then I too would have a fabulous love story. Now all I had to do was brainwash the author and ask her to cast me. One day I would.
The Bad
All I could say here was that I wanted more of this story. I wanted a face to Aisha’s past.
The Conclusion
I could identify with Aisha and fall in love with Gavin. What more could I ask for in a love story?!!!!!!

Fab review, this book sounds wonderful. I loved your comments on Gavin, haha, I know that feeling. 🙂
Thank you so much. I love heroes who make me feel so warm and gushy. How goes your day?
You’re welcome! Same! My day is OK-ish, reading books and waiting anxiously for a potential call from the shelter, we saw two doggos we like and hope to see them and maybe take one home. <3 How is your day?
So envious, I want a dog but my family is not too keen on it. Hoping I would be able to adopt, rather I am hoping that some dog would adopt me as the crazy human.
Awesome review, Shalini! Makes you want to pick the book straightaway! You’ve got me wonder about this Gavin and whether the effect he had on you is universal 🙂
